The Geo-Drill consortium are holding a webinar on 23 November 2022, detailing the development of down-the-hole (DTH) hammer drilling technologies.
The event will be presented by Volker Wittig of project partners Fraunhofer IEG, detailing how the project has been developing a DTH hammer system that is able to run with drill mud to penetrate deep, hard rock with a percussion mechanism rather with just a single moving part.
These innovative DTH hammers will make percussion drilling more successful and economic, reducing the cost of geothermal drilling operations.
